We’ve covered some cool mini-subs here before but nothing like this. We usually find that these craft are either small, plain tubes or ultra elite craft equipped with hot and cold running champagne. This time there’s a new concept being floated (excuse me for that) that could change the way we look at submersibles – It’s the Seabreacher from Inner Space.
The Seabreacher incorporates many design and engineering improvements that were gained from building, operating, and maintaining the Innespace Dolphin. The body is fifty percent larger in volume, in order to make room for a full sized passenger as well as allowing for bigger and more powerful engine packages.
This remarkable sub is designed to swim through the water like a dolphin and is capable of loops, barrel rolls and even jumping out of the water. These fully submersible watercraft use their forward momentum and the downward lift of their wings to literally fly below the water’s surface. This radical departure from the typical method of sinking below the surface allows them to achieve an unparalleled level of freestyle performance.
Totally awesome – check it out – more news to come I’m sure.
